Our Why

A smiling woman with dark hair wearing a sleeveless turquoise dress stands next to two young boys with brown hair, wearing colorful shirts, while a bald man in a pink shirt holds one of the boys, outdoors near a large tree.

There’s family that you’re born with, and family that you choose throughout life. Idrees Danishpajooh was one of the latter. He came into our lives at different times, but we all consider him a brother. We were devastated to learn that Idrees was diagnosed with Glioblastoma in fall of 2019. Despite the devastating diagnosis, Idrees defied the odds and battled the cancer for three years until the cancer took him in August of 2022. Throughout the ordeal, Idrees maintained his generous, gregarious spirit. He was a devoted husband, loving and attentive father, and a constant friend. When thinking about how best to honor our dear friend, we decided to emulate his incredibly generous spirit with a college scholarship to those who have lost a parent to cancer. It is our hope that he will live on forever through the generosity of others. That is why we do what we do, to honor our brother. Please join us and honor him with a contribution to benefit the Idrees Danishpajooh Memorial Scholarship.
